The University recently released information about new leave provisions for employees who need time to get COVID-19 vaccinations. The following information highlights the crucial parts of the policy:
1. Employees do not need to clock out or use leave to get a COVID-19 vaccination. This can be done during normal working hours. If you go get your shot and come back to work, no leave entry is needed.
2. Discuss your vaccination plans with your supervisor. Supervisor approval of time is required to ensure office/work coverage.
3. If you get your vaccination and have an adverse reaction, you can use COVID-19 PAL leave for up to 8 hours the day of your vaccination and 8 hours the day after your vaccination if you are still not well. If you do this a leave action is required. You’ll need to enter a COVID-19 PAL request in Wolf Time.
4. If your adverse reaction lasts longer than the day of and day after, you will need to use one of your other leave options.
